SoftSkin Photo Makeup is intended for retouching photographs, particularly portraits. The program includes a series of tools that allow concealing skin imperfections, improving skin texture, whitening the teeth and removing the red-eye effect. It is quite easy to use and no special talents are required to achieve decent results.
The program supports working on various images simultaneously, and you can easily switch from one to another. There are various tools that you can use to apply different effects. First, the program lets you crop a specific segment of the picture. Second, you can also rotate the image to the desired degree. Third, there is a marker, which allows creating a mask. In this regard, you can select parts of the photograph with the selection marker, but it is also possible to mark a rectangular or a free area. Unfortunately, this tool is not available from a button in the toolbar and should be accessed from a menu command. Likewise, when using the marker, if you go out of the desired region, it is impossible to unmark that last part only and you need to undo the whole marking. Fourth, there is the smudge tool, which, in my opinion, does most of the job of improving skin texture. Moreover, it can be set to work on the masked area only. Fifth, you can use the rest of the tools: concealer brush, lipstick, eye pencil, and bleach, to correct imperfections, apply makeup and whiten the teeth. Finally, there is a button you can press to compare your picture before and after the changes. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to perform a side-by-side comparison. more
